Un premier voyage dans les Terres australes et antarctiques françaises — retranscrit dans le très bel ouvrage « Voyages aux îles de la Désolation » — n’a pas rassasié le dessinateur Emmanuel Lepage (1) : 12 ans après, en 2022, il embarque à nouveau pour les îles Kerguelen. N’ayant pas pu, lors de sa première excursion, vivre au plus près le quotidien de tous ceux qui travaillent sur cet archipel au relief montagneux d’origine volcanique, situé au sud de l’océan Indien, il y reste cette fois-ci deux mois et demi : s’attachant donc plus aux personnes qui partent avec lui, tout en montrant les changements déjà à l’œuvre sur la nature, en raison du réchauffement climatique. Du beau, écologique et humaniste, voire quasiment poétique, récit de voyage en BD !
